Here is a story we have watched play out too many times. Someone works hard in therapy for eight weeks. The knee is finally bending, the shoulder finally lifts, the walking finally looks normal. Then the insurance visits run out, and they are sent home with a sheet of exercises. Three months later they are back where they started.
We built this program so that stops happening in Castroville. When your plan of care ends or your benefits run out, you can keep coming in, keep using the same equipment, and keep working in front of people who know your history. It costs $10 a visit. That is less than a lot of gym day passes, and nobody at a gym knows what your surgeon said.

How much does the Supervised Exercise Program cost?
$10 a visit. It is paid directly and is not billed to insurance.
Is the Supervised Exercise Program the same as physical therapy?
No. Physical therapy is skilled, one on one treatment billed to insurance. The Supervised Exercise Program is independent exercise in our gym with our team supervising. If something new comes up, we will tell you and help you get back into therapy.
Who can join?
The program is for our own patients. You must be a previous or discharged patient of Castroville Physical Therapy & Sport Rehabilitation who no longer needs manual therapy or modalities like moist heat, electric muscle stimulation or whirlpool, and just wants to keep up your exercise program under our supervision. When can I come in?
During regular clinic hours, Monday to Thursday 7a to 12p and 2p to 7p, and Friday 7a to 1p. We will help you pick times when the gym is a good fit for your program.
